The PureFish WhiteFish box was curated to offer mild—or easiest eating fish—to those who might be venturing into eating more seafood as well as those that like, "meaty white fish".


Named after their white opaque flesh, white fish tend to be lighter or mild tasting fish that lend themselves to a variety of cooking methods, including oven baking, broiling, pan-searing, poaching, as well as grilling.


Also, the mild taste of our white fish is a great way to introduce children to eating more seafood.

Note: Each Tray contains TWO individual 5-7 oz. Portions. Scallops and shrimp are allocated based on 10-12oz or more.

Each fish was specifically vetted and taste-tested by our PureFish staff to ensure it meets our quality and sustainability standards, so you can enjoy your fine dining quality seafood at home and let PureFish worry about the rest.

Taste Profiles:

Cobia  - "Meaty" white fish with thick flakes, think Halibut but with a lighter taste.

Black Cod  - Oil rich, buttery soft texture; a whitefish great for broiling & high heat.

Striped Bass  - Mild whitefish with flakey & light texture.

Albacore  - Tuna texture with a lighter taste & color; great for seared & raw applications.

Mahi Mahi  - Mild flavor with a dense yet flakey texture; this is a favorite among kids

Chilean Sea Bass  - "Meaty" texture with high oil content makes this "buttery" fish a delicacy.

Scallops  - Firm texture, with a sweet finish; perfect on their own or in a pasta.

Shrimp  - Sweet taste, with a firm texture & light finish; jumbo size.

So feel free to divide or split portions; you might notice you don't need 6oz's every meal and it will make your PureFish Perfect Portions go farther. PureFish has a strict zero waste policy, no part of the fish goes un-used.

Collar, Tail, & Belly Meat: Used for premium "human grade" pet food

Fish Scales: Used for medical & health products like " marine collagen"

Fish Scraps & Guts: Used for fish oil, fertilizers, and/or fishing bait

** All fish included is "sushi quality" due to our strict harvesting & freshness guidelines, and more so due to our "shock freezing" technology . Please make sure fish is always stored properly before consuming raw or undercooked.

Shipment Days Reminder:

Shipping Days are: Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday (2 Day Delivery).

Orders must be placed by 9pm (PST) day prior for next day ship.

Orders placed after 9pm (PST) Tuesday through Sunday night up to 9pm(PST) will all ship out the coming Monday.

This is to ensure the best quality, fastest shipments, & least delivery delays for our valued customers.

With PureFish we have access due to our global network of approved & vetted suppliers that we have used to supply our top chefs we will continue to have a rotating whitefish box where we will introduce new and delicious fish to not only keep your seafood exciting, but also to support our sustainable fisherman & water farmers.

Black Cod is neither black nor a cod. Black Cod, also known as Sablefish, has a rich, buttery flavor and delicate, silky texture. It lives in very deep, cold waters which is the reason it has a higher fat & fish oil content to help insulate it from the frigid waters, which leads to its amazing flavor and health benefits.

It has many different names because it is so popular around the globe. The main reason it is lesser known in the U.S is because it’s shipped directly where it’s caught on the west coast directly to Japan where it's prized fish on most menus.
